Mann and Associates Real Estate Appraisers & Consultants have been serving the community in the San Francisco Bay Area and the California Central Valley since 1983. We provide an array of services for our clients, including expert witness and partial interest valuations in addition to typical appraisal services.

We have developed our firm to remain on the leading edge of technology with the capabilities for on-line orders, the use of electronic file cabinets for both residential and commercial reports and continue to be involved in our leading professional organization.

Mann & Associates was founded in the early 1970's by Albert Lidster and his brother Chuck. Originally called Lidster Associates, in 1983 the name of the firm was changed to Lidster-Mann Associates with the rise to partner status of Karen Mann.

By 1989, it was felt that the time had come for the firm to move into the twenty-first century, obtaining "cutting edge" software, digital photography, color printers, and a 2.5 gigabyte hard drive. The firm enjoyed notoriety for the advanced and innovative technology in addition to quality appraisal service. At this point the firm was prepared to transmit any appraisal report via modem to clients.

Today the firm has become very well established throughout Northern California. The company's work is known and respected by financial institutions large and small. Mann and Associates continues to be a leader in quality, high tech appraisals with an emphasis on prompt service. The firm has expanded the appraisal services to include residential, commercial, and industrial properties and the unique specialty of church appraisals.

Karen Mann, SRA was recently appointed to a 7 person panel (2006/2007) to investigate and search for a new CEO for the Appraisal Institute – the largest valuation organization in the nation.
